Meet The Team
Our team is committed to helping you build Your House, Your Way.

Kenny Winter
President & CEO
Kenny has led Winter Homes to become one of the premier custom home builders in North Alabama. His main roles within the company are finding and procuring land on which to build subdivisions, as well as working with clients to design their homes and the amenity packages that go with it. Kenny has been happily married to his lovely wife Shana for 20 years. Along with their two sons, Carson and Cohen, the family loves traveling, snow skiing, hunting, and fishing, just to name a few.

Jimmy Schrimsher
VP of Operations
Jimmy joined the company in 2006. One of his many roles is to ensure that the superintendents are supplied with the resources they need to complete their jobs in an effective and timely manner. For him, nothing compares to the satisfaction of making a customer’s dream home become a reality. Jimmy and his wife Bonita have two children and four grandchildren. He loves nothing more than spending his free time with his family.

Caleb Roberts
Production Manager
Caleb set his sights on working in the construction business early on. After studying Construction Management, he joined Winter Homes, a company he describes as centered on quality and customer satisfaction. As Production Manager, he oversees the process of ensuring homes are built on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. When he’s not bringing dream homes to life, Caleb enjoys hunting, fishing, and hanging with his wife.

Michelle Coker
Payroll Coordinator
Michelle loves working with numbers, which is probably why she’s so good at what she calls her “dream job.” As payroll coordinator, she basically handles the money, and making sure her numbers are precise is paramount. Numbers aside, Michelle enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two sons whether it’s on the baseball or soccer fields, or the basketball court.

Janene Harries
Design Coordinator
When it comes to making selections for your new-construction home, Janene is your guide. The inspiration she draws from her job stems from every unique encounter with a client as she listens to their wants and needs, and ultimately makes their dreams come true. Janene and her husband Mike have been married over 20 years. They have two teenage boys, and as a family, love to spend their free time between the beach and the ball fields.

Melissa Burke Fisher
Warranty Control Manager
Melissa’s 20-year Naval background is a tremendous asset for communication with our homeowners. She came to us for a three-month internship through the DOD Skillbridge program, Hiring our Heroes, which quickly turned into her managing our warranty department. She loves assisting homeowners as they transition into their new home. Melissa feels fortunate to work with her husband, Terry, a superintendent. If not at work, she is home with her five fur babies.

Terry Fisher
Superintendent
Terry loves the job responsibilities and leadership it takes to build a custom home. He currently manages several of our subdivisions and excels at his job because he has a wonderful rapport with our customers. He also gets to work with his wife, Melissa, our Warranty Control Manager. If Terry is not building houses, he can be found on the water, as he is a professional bass angler with Major League Fishing, Toyota series. In fact, he found out about Winter Homes during a tournament.

Tim Counce
Superintendent - Multi-Family Division
Tim was drawn to Winter Homes because of the company’s attention to detail and the quality of the finished product when we built his home a few year’s back. Today, Tim plays an important role in our Multi-Family Division, ensuring that projects are completed on time. Outside of work he has a deep love for fishing. In fact, he’s competed on both the FLW and ABT bass trails. Tim is a native of Florence, Alabama, and an Army veteran.

Steve Couch
Superintendent
As a Superintendent, Steve loves the job process of building a custom home. It is the relationships he’s able to develop with our buyers that make him so good at his job. He loves when a customer gets to take possession of a new home on a landscaped piece of property that was just a piece of dirt eight months prior. In his spare time, Steve loves to travel with his wife.

Rodney Brown
Superintendent
Rodney brings a ton of experience to our staff. He’s a third-generation builder who’s been in the industry his entire life. According to Rodney, the best part about his job is the satisfaction of completing a home and handing the keys to the new homeowner. When he’s not at work, Rodney pulls out his pool cue and plays billiards at an extremely high level, even having played tournaments in Vegas.

Todd Schrimsher
Purchasing Manager/Coordinator
Todd literally grew up around the home building business, and specifically this home building business. Despite working for other builders early in his career, we finally got him on our team a couple years ago. As our purchasing manager, his job entails staying on top of costs associated with materials. When he’s not working, Todd loves to spend time with his wife and little girls. He’s also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Will Reaves
Superintendent
Will began his interest in all things constructive at a young age, watching his grandfather, who specialized in drywall and remodeling. After college Will worked in several fields, including as an apprentice for one of the best guitar craftsmen in the south. The company’s emphasis on integrity and quality is what initially drew him to Winter Homes. Will is committed to making the process of building a home as effortless and comfortable as possible.

Andy Pearson II
Superintendent Assistant
Construction is in Andy’s blood – he gets it from his father, who built steel frame homes. After working as a printer specialist for several years, he joined us our maintenance team before getting promoted to his current position. Off the clock, Andy enjoys spending time with his family, renovating his house, and playing the guitar.

Gary Davis
Maintenance Supervisor
The pure satisfaction of completing a job, and knowing it’s done right, is the fuel that drives Gary. Born and raised in nearby Lauderdale County, Gary supervises and maintains rentals, as well as helps complete punch lists on new construction homes. He and his wife, Renate, have three daughters. And when Gary gets away from your work, he’s in the woods hunting or out on the water fishing.

Ashton Lucius
Maintenance
Ashton’s job entails maintaining our rental properties and the custom homes we build. He studied electrical industries at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Pulaski, which helped give him a jump start for the field he’s currently working in. Outside work, he loves hanging out with his new wife and spending time on his computer.

Zach Harries
Maintenance
Zach is one of the newest and youngest members of our staff. Before joining our maintenance team, he worked as a veterinary tech and medical assistant. He loves the Cubs and the Auburn Tigers. As well as several genres of music.

Nathaniel Gay
Maintenance
Nathaniel joined us after several years of building in-ground pools. And as you might guess, he’s no stranger to hard work! When he’s not serving our customers, you can find Nathan spending time with his fiancée and her two little girls and watching sports.
